January 16, 2011 Day 14 – 16
ACTIVITY: Run and Walk
LOCATION: Dulwich, Crystal Palace
DISTANCE:
TIME: hrs
Saturday morning was a Crystal Palace park run. To run 5km (two laps) as fast as you can. I really enjoy the challenge but forgot to bring my bar code so that I could get timed. Not too sure what my time was, but it didn’t really matter – more the fact that I was out there doing it.
Today was an evening walk through Dulwich and around the park with the hubby. We must have walked for about 2hrs with a stop at The Crown and Greyhound for a Soda and lime. Felt really good and will sleep well tonight!

January 13, 2011 Day 10 – 13
ACTIVITY: Run
LOCATION: Dulwich
DISTANCE: 14 miles (Over 2 days)
TIME: +- 3 hrs
Can’t belive that my last post was on Sunday evening, it’s now Thursday! Where has the time gone? This week I have kept busy and did a BIG run on Tuesday evening, all of 8 Miles. Tonight I felt like pushing myself as I haven’t done this mileage in ages. Decided to run to and from the club
(add-on 3 miles) and did a club run (add-on 5 miles), I took it nice and easy whilst catching up with all the gossip and before I knew it I had done 8 Miles in total, YAY! Very pleased with myself!
Wednesday was a rest day, I was slightly exhausted from Tuesday’s run (feeling it in my knee?!) and needed the rest!
Tonight was back to the club for a Hill training session. I was feeling slightly stiff and wasn’t enthusiastic about running. You know what, I’m glad I went as I really enjoyed it (first Hill Session – in the past I have “somehow” managed to miss them all…)! It was hard work but felt rewarding, one of those pain pleasure things. My knee wasn’t too bad, maybe the run tonight helped stretch things out. Will see tomorrow.

January 9, 2011 Day 9
ACTIVITY: House Work
LOCATION: Home
DISTANCE:
TIME: All day
Today was one of those days! The house needs tidying, the windows need to be cleaned, storage boxes needed sorting out and well we are at it – we might as well re-arrange the furniture in the lounge! And yes it did happen in that order.
Feel less cluttered and had a good workout too. That was Sunday!

January 8, 2011 Day 8
ACTIVITY: Run
LOCATION: Dulwich Park & Brockwell Park
DISTANCE: 6.41 Miles
TIME: 1.09
Saturday run! If it wasn’t for my husband, training for the London marathon, in getting me out of bed I probably wouldn’t have gone for my run this morning. It was dark, cold and felt like a week day…but it’s Saturday, what about lie-ins?
What an enjoyable run it was (I’m so glad I went), whilst running through the parks the sun come out and lifted my spirits. It was good to catch up with everyone and a coffee at the cafe with the hubby, was a nice treat to all my hard work : )

January 6, 2011 Day 6
ACTIVITY: Walk
LOCATION: Sydenham Rail – Home

Feeling slightly knackered tonight, with a slight hint of flu. Decided not to go running tonight but opted for a walk home from Sydenham instead and early bed (surely sleeping is some form of exercise?).

January 5, 2011 Day 5
Activity: Walk
Location: Sydenham Rail – Home
Distance: .5 miles
Time: Not Counting
Second day at work and fifth day of challenge, I am definitely feeling it now! Decided to take it easy tonight to give my poor body a rest. A walk home, from an earlier station stop, is what I needed to loosen up all my still muscles from yesterday’s run. It really worked I felt much more revived. Will try to do a run tomorrow.

January 4, 2011 Day 4
Activity: Club Run
Location: Dulwich Park
Distance: 4.2 miles
Time: Not Counting
First day back at work after the Xmas break, and a long day it was. I was looking forward to going to the running club, to catch up with all the runners and start the New Year with the handicap.
I really enjoyed it, and felt really good even after my run yesterday. Running as fast as I can for 2 and a half miles, I started to feel it more in my lungs and found breathing was quite difficult for my last 100m sprint finish. I finished and was really pleased with myself, so thought I’d do another slow lap to cool down. This was hard as my legs were feeling really tired, but definitely what I needed.
Day 4 and I’m still keen and excited on doing this Janathon challange.

January 3, 2011 Day 3
Activity: Run
Location: Crystal Palace, Dulwich Park
Distance: 5 miles
Time: 50:00
Today was a run. I was feeling slightly tired from yesterday’s run as my body is still getting used to running every day. I really enjoyed today, we had a few hills (in Crystal Palace) but the rest of the run down to Dulwich was flat and easy-going. We ended off with one lap around the park.
